Fellowship

Doctors who are following the pathway to Fellowship are required by The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners to attend an Advanced Responder course with individually assessed skill stations. Our specialised Fellowship course is endorsed by the NZCGP to fulfill this requirement.

Gaining Fellowship of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners has a number of benefits from accessing the College's Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program and being a part of a nationwide community of GPs with shared values and passions to having the opportunity to work independently, anywhere in New Zealand, including rural and remote locations.

Fellows can become medical educators, train registrars, and also take up governance roles with the College and be invited onto specialist working groups and committees.

See our course catalogue for further details.

Fellowship Pathway Regulations available here

Becoming a Fellow in New Zealand will extend your career opportunities and enable you to be part of a collegial network of GPs.
